Who it is for

Who the course is for

Oil massage of the back outdoors
  • You want a profession

The full set of Kerala treatments, panchakarma to the level of a competent assistant, client intake and building your own practice.

  • Massage and spa therapists

Ayurvedic treatments as a new service, in the original technique rather than a simplified spa version.

  • Yoga teachers

Ayurveda in practice: daily routine, doshas and treatments that complement your work with students.

  • For yourself, but seriously

If you want to understand it rather than just try it: a month inside a working clinic, with its own doctors and therapists.

How the course works

Three layers, each doing what the other two can’t.

  • Online before arrival: 16 hours. The core doctrine of Ayurveda, anatomy, contraindications, preparing for the trip. It ends with an entry test.
  • Clinic treatment training: 5 hours a day. Doctors and therapists: hand technique, Kerala treatments, preparing oils and medicines, observing panchakarma.
  • Our evening block: one hour a day. The therapist’s body, contraindications through case reviews, client intake, protocols, building a practice.

On site that is 24 teaching days of six hours each, 144 hours in total. Together with the online module, 160.

Online module before arrival

The lectures are recorded in English by a clinic doctor. Watch at your own pace and take the entry test before you arrive. The test doesn’t screen anyone out: it makes sure the whole group arrives with a shared foundation.

Outcome of the week: you run a full session, from greeting the client to aftercare advice.

Day 28. Final exam

The practical part is a full timed session observed by a doctor. The written part covers contraindications and theory. After the exam the clinic presents the certificates, and then it’s time to head home.

The certificate you take home is determined by your exam result, not by attendance.

Frequently asked questions

How many hours a day are classes?

Six teaching hours: three hours of hands-on practice in the morning, two hours of treatments and case reviews in the afternoon, and one hour of the evening block. On top of that, morning yoga and personal treatment slots, which don't count towards the hours.

Who do we practice on?

On each other, in pairs within the group: everyone takes turns as therapist and as client. That way you learn every treatment from both sides of the table.

Are there days off?

Yes, every seventh day is free. The timetable is set for each intake, so days off fall on days of the week rather than fixed dates.

What certificate will I receive?

The certificate is issued by the clinic where you trained, listing the syllabus and the number of hours. It reflects the result of the final exam, assessed by the clinic's doctors.

How do I book a place?

First, a personal call: we tell you about the course and answer your questions. A €100 deposit secures your place; the balance is paid on arrival.
