Ayurvedashala
A canal among coconut palms, Kerala

North Kerala

Malabar

Kerala off the tourist trail. A working Ayurvedic clinic where patients are treated every day, and where the school's courses take place.

Why here

Malabar is the north of Kerala, away from the tourist routes. There is no promenade lined with cafés and souvenir shops; there are villages, palm trees and a clinic that treats local and visiting patients. For studying, that is an advantage: the month goes on what you came for.

The clinic works every day. Oils and herbal boluses are made on site, and panchakarma runs in its full cycle. Students learn inside this process, from the same doctors and therapists who look after the patients. See the treatment rooms, the garden and classes in Kerala in the school gallery.

Daily life

You live on the clinic grounds. Meals follow its schedule, three times a day. Mornings start with yoga, the day is built around classes and treatments, and the evening ends with an hour with the school coordinator. Every seventh day is a day off.

Getting there

Before your flight you receive a detailed route from the airport to the clinic, along with help arranging your transfer. We share the clinic’s name and exact address once you get in touch.
