How to choose
- Two weeks: if you want to understand Ayurveda through your hands, add abhyanga and shirodhara to your work, or find out whether it’s for you before committing to a month.
- For spa and massage therapists: what these courses give you professionally, in detail: Ayurvedic massage for spa professionals.
- A month: if you want a profession: the full set of Kerala treatments, panchakarma to the level of a competent assistant, client intake, protocols and building a practice.
The two-week course is the same as the first two weeks of the month: same clinic, same teachers, same group.
How the training works
- Before arrival: the online module, covering Ayurvedic theory, anatomy and contraindications. It ends with an entry test.
- At the clinic: five hours a day with doctors and therapists: hand technique, treatments, making oils and medicines, observing panchakarma.
- In the evening: an hour of the school’s own block: the therapist’s body, case reviews, client intake, protocols, professional practice.
- Every seventh day: a day off.
You practice in pairs: everyone takes turns as therapist and as client. The daily schedule has slots for personal treatments, so you can have panchakarma yourself during the course.
